30 May 2019.
I spotted a red kite today flying over Blakelow Road, Macclesfield. My favourite bird and I've never seen them in this area before!
Also kingfisher seen last Sunday flying between perches along the Macclesfield canal (just near the Old Kings Head pub).

21 May, WEA Birdwatching Class - Lindow Common
Blackbird, blackcap, blue tit, bullfinch, buzzard, chaffinch, chiffchaff, coot, garden warbler, great crested grebe, great spotted woodpecker, great tit, jackdaw, long tailed tit, magpie, mallard, moorhen, reed warbler, robin, song thrush, swallow, whitethroat (heard), willow warbler, wood pigeon.

10 May (am) - Swifts (30+), House Martins (80 to 100), Swallows, Mandarin Ducks (1 pair plus 1 female), Buzzard at nest site, Blackcap (4 on territory), Chiffchaff (4) - River Bolin, Prestbury sewage works area. Steve McCoskery

4 May - Swifts, Whooper Swan, Garden Warbler - Marbury Country Park. Paul Flackett

2 May - Mandarin Ducks (2 males) on Tegg's Nose Reservoir and 30+ House Martins over meadow at bottom of Tegg's Nose. David Tolliday

2 May (7am to 9.30am)- Walk With Nature, Birds of the Goyt Valley - 30 species seen, in particular: chiffchaff, common redstart, common sandpiper, goldcrest, great spotted woodpecker, grey wagtail, jay, mandarin duck, nuthatch, pied flycatcher, siskin, treecreeper, tree pipit, willow warbler. 2 May (2pm to 3.30pm) - Walk With Nature, Trentabank Reservoir - 21 species seen, in particular: blackcap, buzzard, common sandpiper, cormorant, great crested grebe, grey heron, jay, little grebe, mandarin duck, nuthatch, willow warbler. Alan Brereton
