A lovely time of the year for taking a walk round this great site of interest. It's a while since we have been to this wonderful place. Join us for a walk around the park and along the paths. There are a number of different dragonflies found here, so see what you can find and identify. Learn all about these beautiful creatures. See what else can be found here and write down how many different things you have seen.

A great welcome back to Jack Perks! He has visited the group a couple of times before and his presentations have been incredibly interesting. Jack has been on TV for the RSPB and Countryfile, and he is famous for his outstanding underwater photography.

This talk will be about Cornwall where he used to live, a beautiful area of the British Isles. There will be all kinds of wildlife, found both on land and in water as well. A presentation not to be missed!

ASHPLORERS: Bat Walk - Listen for Their Pips Over the Water! THIS EVENT IS NOW CANCELLED

Once again it's time for our special evening meeting! It has been a year since our last one. Our bat night at Brierley Forest is always a favourite with both children and parents too. We will go for a walk around to see what can be seen and heard, until it starts getting dark. Come and use our bat detectors, and see how good a detective you are finding bats. Lots of fun games and a quiz included. See how much you know about bats!

Popular group member Phil Millns needs no introduction at all. He is well known to everyone in the group for his talks and his outstanding photography. This time he will give us a presentation on Portugal, a country that no previous speakers have featured before. Phil visited Portugal in May and will delight us with some of the birds and wildlife shown in his excellent photos.
