About us

The RSPB Medway Group was founded in 1974 and for over 40 years has provided local support for the RSPB. We produce an interesting programme of indoor and outdoor events, as well as various fundraising activities. We are always pleased to see new helpers at public events where there is the opportunity to get involved as much or as little as you would like. Our illustrated talks are held on the third Tuesday of each month (except August) at Parkwood Community Centre in Gillingham (ME8 9PN) and feature well known local and national speakers. The field trips, which are nearly all FREE, run throughout the year and take in all the hot spots within Kent and the South East. We also regularly run coach trips to reserves further afield.

We are always happy to see new faces at our indoor talks. Any changes to these talks will appear on our website. For further information please contact our talks organiser Lesley Frizell on 01634 615 580 or medwayRSPB.talks@gmail.com.

On the walks everyone is welcome and help is always on hand with identification. Some of the walks are suitable for people with disabilities. For any enquiries please contact the Field Trips Organiser Sue Carter on 01795 427 854 or medwayRSPB.walk@btinternet.com. If you are an RSPB member please remember to bring your membership card with you when visiting RSPB reserves.
