Two young buzzards ringed in a Northamptonshire garden. The buzzards were approximately 18 to 20 days old. After ringing they were return to their nest, located over 7m up a conifer tree, where they will be tended by their parents for a further three to four weeks. They are likely to stay in the vicinity of the nest site for a further two to three weeks after fledging and may remain dependent on their parents for a further few weeks.

One of four young kestrels ringed at Stanwick Lakes. Members of the children's wildlife group, that meets at Stanwick Lakes, were there to see them being ringed. After ringing, the young kestrels were returned to their nest box where they will be tended by their parents for another one to two weeks. After which they will start to venture away from the nest box, but will remain under the watchful eye of the parents until they become independent at around a month later
