November & December Events

Just a quick note to remind you of our meetings and outings between now and the New Year.

On Tuesday 3 December Graham Holyoak will talk to us about "Ratty", or more properly, the restoration of the Water Vole population onto the Kielder catchment area. (18.30 at MEA House, Newcastle).

Peter Weighill is leading a walk around Big Waters starting at 10.30 on Wednesday 4 December - Ducks, Swans, Geese, tree Sparrows, Buntings, etc. (Six Mile Bridge, Wideopen B1318).

Saturday 14 December is our last Field Trip of the year and the destination is Blacktoft Sands. We are hoping to see the Harrier roost at dusk before we head home. Booking essential. (Great North Museum at 9.00am).

Our final meeting of the year on Tuesday 17 December starting at 10.00am Is Lindsay McDougall's walk around the Rising Sun C.P. and Swallow Pond for wintering wildfowl and thrushes (West end of the Asda Carpark at Benton on the A191).

And to start the New Year, Donna Zajac will lead a walk around Seaton Sluice starting at 10.30am on Wednesday 8 January 2020 (King's Arms).
