A celebration of a successful harvest from Hawley Community Garden which is based on the former site of some derelict garages. Having transformed a strip of concrete into a garden, both fruit and vegetables grown are shared amongst its members. By bringing together the British and Nepali communities (as well as several other nationalities) Hawley Community Garden seeks to foster community spirit.

Teas, coffees and cakes will be available, as well as a bar-be-que. The Local Group are proud to support Hawley Community Garden's efforts to work with nature.

Keith is Vice President of the African Bird Club, County Recorder for Hampshire and currently Vice President of the BTO. His talk for us will show the birds and wildlfe of Antarctica, The Falkland Islands and South Georgia.
Elephant and fur seals, albatrosses, emperor, gentoo, rockhopper and Adelie penguins plus the magnificent sight of 250,000 king penguins on one beach and hillside. Wonderful pictures and a terrific speaker will make for an excellent evening.

The RSPB North East Hants Local Group's Autumn Fair is the main fundraising event of the year. There will be a variety of stalls on the day selling home produce, bric-a-brac, books, jigsaw puzzles, CD's, DVD's, home made greetings cards, plants and insect homes. We will also have a selection of RSPB Sales goods, so please come and have a look at the Christmas cards, calendars and diaries etc.

Try your luck on the raffle, tombola or nail game and see the many wildlife themed pin badges on offer.

Teas, coffees and light lunches will be available and you can learn more about the Local Group's activities both in the area and further afield.
