Birds of the World's Most Remote Islands - A Zoom Talk by Keith Betton - Saturday 11 September 2021

For the first Zoom presentation of the Autumn, we are pleased to welcome Keith Betton. Keith is a keen world birder having seen over 8500 species in more than 100 countries. In the UK he is County Recorder of birds for Hampshire and Chairman of the Hampshire Ornithological Society. He has been a Council Member of the RSPB and BTO and is currently Vice President of the BTO.

Keith will take us on journeys to see some of the world's rarest seabirds - and in some of the most remote corners of the seas - from islands in the middle of the Atlantic, 1750 miles from the nearest continent, to rocky islets in the Southern Ocean. If you like albatrosses and penguins, this is not one to miss.

The meeting will be open from 7.15 pm ready for a 7.30 pm start. It is free to join for RSPB North East Hants Local Group Members, but a donation of £3.00 is welcomed from Non Members.

If you are not already an RSPB Local Group Member and wish to register for this interesting meeting, please email the local group at nehantsrspb@gmail.com. You will then be contacted before the event with both the meeting ID and Passcode.

Please make a note in those diaries now. We look forward to welcoming you.
