Landscapes and Wildlife of the Arctic

Landscapes and Wildlife of the Arctic

Barry Kaufmann-Wright was our speaker for this talk - the link below gives some more information about him.

The landscape shots showed amazing features such as glaciers and icebergs - the distances and size of which were truly mind blowing. It was hard to comprehend just how far it was between the near and distant features.

There were great shots of Arctic specialists such as the Arctic Skua, Tern and Fox, not forgetting, of course, the king of the area, the Polar Bear. Barry was justly pleased with the excellent photo he managed to get of this magnificent animal - not easy when you are on a moving boat!

If you click on the 'Download file' link, then you will see the splendid poster that David (our Publicity officer) produced to advertise this talk.

We distribute the poster to libraries, supermarkets (many have Community Notice boards) and have managed to get it displayed on some of Redbridge's Community Notice boards (e.g. in Wanstead High Street).

If you have any suggestions of other places to advertise that may encourage more people to come to our talks, we would be glad to hear them.

Please feel free to print off any of the posters yourselves that we add to News Items and help us spread the word about our Indoor Talks!
