Hen Harrier Day at Rainham Marshes RSPB reserve - UPDATE

Hen Harrier Day, Saturday 6th August 2016

On Saturday 6th August, RSPB Rainham Marshes hosted an event organised by Birders Against Wildlife Crime (BAWC) to mark Hen Harrier Day 2016 - to celebrate Hen Harriers and publicise their plight.

The rally featured speeches from Chris Packham, Mark Avery and others, including Charlie Moores from BAWC and RSPB Chief Executive Mike Clarke. See our Facebook page for more details (copy and paste the following link https://www.facebook.com/nelondon/posts - for post on 9th August).

Four of your committee members went to Rainham to support Hen Harriers. If you click on the link for the Rainham video, you should be able to spot us and our placards!

Please sign the petition about driven grouse shooting - over 78,000 have signed but we need to get to 100,000 to secure a parliamentry debate in Westminster which is essential to raise important conservation issues. Copy and paste the following link

The RSPB are campaigning for driven grouse shooting to be licensed so estate owners have a real incentive to prevent illegal actions being undertaken which impact and kill our natural wildlife.
