Newsletter - keeping in touch

Newsletter - keeping in touch

This is our first newsletter since the suspension of our regular meetings and walks programme.

If you click on the 'Download file' link, then you will see our 2-page newsletter.

Here are some of the contents from the first page:

"Dear all,
We hope you, your family and friends are keeping safe and well. We've produced this newsletter as a way of keeping you up-to-date on how COVID 19 is affecting the RSPB and our group and to say hello - we haven't forgotten you!

As you are aware, in normal times, we'd now be close to our summer break. The RSPB advice to Local Groups is that all events should be cancelled until September, when they will re-consider the situation. The committee is looking at potential future options around talks and walks. For instance, if we are still unable to hold talks in St Mary's come September, would using Zoom be an option? If you do have a view on Zoom meetings, we would really like to hear from you, or any other suggestions on how we can keep in touch.

We hope that during these difficult times, you have been able to connect with the wildlife around you. We know people across the country are drawing great comfort in engaging with the natural world.

Warm regards,
Your Friends on the Committee"

The second page contains news of local sightings and a few photos.
