Coach trip to Flamborough Head

Location: Join the coach on Mount Street in the centre of Nottingham.
Postcode: NG1 6HG (Google map)

A great place to see puffins! On our last visit we saw many. Other sea birds are also present and this is truly a good place to see guillemots, razorbills, shags and fulmars. Then we have the land birds including yellowhammer, tree sparrow, skylarks, pipits and possibly corn bunting. We can also expect to see summer migrants.

Coach trip to Leighton Moss

Location: Join the coach on Mount Street in the centre of Nottingham
Postcode: NG1 6HG (Google map)

One of the top RSPB reserves, a place known for its bitterns and bearded tits, but there is a lot more to see here. Habitats include reed beds, shallow meres and woodland. A good variety of warblers can be found, as well as birds of prey, nesting marsh harriers and waders. Some say that it is a distant reserve but it is motorway nearly all the way and quicker to get to than some Norfolk reserves.

Coach trip to Holme Dunes

Location: Join the coach on Mount Street in the centre of Nottingham.
Postcode: NG1 6HG (Google map)

One of Norfolk's migration hot spots, a place that every year pulls in good birds. It is a 190 hectare reserve managed by Norfolk Wildlife Trust and its habitats include sand dunes, salt marsh, freshwater pools and grazing marsh. In autumn wryneck, yellow-browed warbler and barred warblers are almost annual, but anything can and does turn up at this splendid reserve.

Coach trip to Spurn

Our annual migration to this reserve. what will we see this time? Last year despite awful weather we saw ring ouzel, jack snipe, brambling and much more. Another true migration hot spot, now with new facilities. It is also a great place for waders and passing sea birds as well as 'specials' like snow bunting and twite.
