Coach trip to Top Lodge Fineshade Wood

Location: Join the coach on Mount Street in the centre of Nottingham
Postcode: NG1 6HG (Google map)

It has been brought to our notice that the July trip to Top Lodge Fineshade Wood has been omitted from the newsletter. The trip is on Sunday the 15th July and the cost is £13.50.

Bookings will begin on the 1st June. There is a cafe and toilets.

The birdlife is varied, 93 species have been recorded and these include both Marsh and Willow Tits, Crossbills and of course Red Kites. This was one of the main release sites in 1995 when 35 birds were brought over from Spain. Since then they have spread around the area and last estimates say there are now between 8 or 9 hundred!

Apart from the birdlife there is much more to see, the area is also known for its plant life and butterflies. Something for everyone.

Please don't miss our missing trip!
