REGUA, A project to conserve Brazil's Atlantic Forest by Ken Sutton. In 2014 Ken spent three months volunteering in Rio state. His talk will introduce us to a landscape scale rewilding initiative and to the brilliant birdlife of this diverse region .

52 Shades of Green. Britain's best Bird watching Weekends by James Lowen.

Location: This will be a Zoom meeting. An invitation will be sent to NW Surrey Group members just before the event.

James is a professional photographer and multi award winning author of 11 nature and travel books. A regular contributor to the Daily Telegraph, Birdwatching, and BBC Wildlife, he will escort us the length and breadth of the country to share Britain's very best wildlife watching breaks, from puffins to porpoises, otters to orchids, frogs to fritillaries.

For this meeting we are guests of Richmond and Twickenham RSPB Local Group.

Save the Vulture by Hannah Shaw

An Osprey in a Shopping Bag: the Return of a Raptor - Alasdair McKee

Alasdair McKee of the RSPB and Cumbria Wildlife Trust works closely with ospreys in South Cumbria. He will be talking about how this most charismatic bird of prey has returned from extinction in England in the last twenty years. This entertaining illustrated talk will introduce you to these remarkable birds and tell the story of a remarkable conservation comeback in Cumbria and beyond. And explain where the shopping bag comes in.
