This month we are going to Argentina in the company of James Lowen. James spent three years living and birding there and uses this experience to guide us around South America's second biggest country. We'll be travelling from the Andes to the Atlantic; from the waterfalls of Iguazu to Tierra del Fuego searching for birds large - greater rhea, small - hummingbirds, and imperilled - the hooded grebe.

We're closer to home this month as John Tyler helps us to discover the wildlife and history of the tranquil River Thame, from source to mouth and from the Stone Age to the present day. You're probably not aware of how many of our local brooks and streams empty their waters into the Thame, which we share with our Buckinghamshire neighbours, before it joins the Thames at Dorchester. This is a great chance to find out more.

We are going to Australia for this month's talk by Nick Martin. Across four visits to Sydney and the Blue Mountains area, Nick has accumulated many images to illustrate his exploration of this area's landscapes and nature. In this talk he will share with us the remarkable wildlife from vibrant fairy wrens to noisy cockatoos, frogmouths to fruit bats.
