Spring Holiday availability

There are two places available on our two-centre spring holiday to Spain's Coto Doņana and Extremadura leaving on 19 April. All levels of birding expertise are welcome.

Doņana is one of Europe's most important nature reserves. In spring the marshes of La Madre de las Marismas, near El Rocio, provide breeding grounds for several species of waders, terns, egrets, herons, glossy ibis and spoonbills.

Extremadura is well-known for its vast areas of open grassland, La Serena Steppes. Less well-known is Monfragüe Natural Park, the best Iberian Mediterranean woodlands, spotted with rock cliffs and deep gullies. The mix of habitats means the region is home to many endangered European species such as the Spanish imperial eagle, great and little bustards, black-bellied and pin-tailed sandgrouse.
