Big Garden Birdwatch Results 2020

Are you someone thinks that the most common bird is the one that turns up in the highest numbers in some gardens but could be absent from others? Or do you think that top place should go to the bird that most garden birdwatchers will see even though they may be present in lower numbers? Oxford's results are in the attached chart, cut both ways: the top 20 in the charts and the top 10 in the diagrams.
House sparrows are still top as most numerous bird and are up by 5% from last year. Blackbirds also retain their top spot as bird you're most likely to see but are down by 4% from 2019. But look at blue tits - up by a massive 31% as most numerous bird and kicking wood pigeons into third place as a bird you're most likely to see in your garden! Let's hear it for the blue tits!
