Welcome to the Potters Bar and Barnet RSPB group events page. Unless otherwise specified, you do not need to be a member of the RSPB to join us on our events. It will be great to see you at any of our events whether you are new to bird watching or an experienced birder, please note booking is necessary for some events. Coach outing to Lackford Lakes, Suffolk Wildlife Trust SSSI

Location: Coach picks up at Everyman Cinema 8 am, Hadley Green 8:15 am, Potters Bar 8:30 am

8 hides set within 323 acres of landscape of lakes, reeds, meadow, ash carr and woodland. Possible to see kingfisher, hobby, 17 species of dragonflies, maybe even the elusive otter plus lots of other wildlife inclucing swallows and swifts etc. Lackford's Visitor centre has limited light refreshments so you should remember a packed lunch. You can eat inside in comfort with stunning views across the nature reserve from the upstairs gallery. Toilets, gifts on sale and binocular hire.

Coach outing to NT Quebec House & Emmetts Garden, Kent

Quebec House is of the Georgian era and was the family home of General James Wolfe as a child in the 1730's. He came to prominence after the battle of Quebec. On arrival we (as a group) have a private guided tour of the house.
The Garden. 18th-century stocked with flowers and plants from the time; kitchen garden and herb border.
Coach House Tea rooms serve homemade cakes along with a selection of hot and cold food. 2nd hand bookshop. --------------------------------------------
Emmetts Garden. The garden originally created for Catherine Lubbock between 1910 and 1920; the rose garden was very much a central feature of the original garden design. Old Stables Tea-Room - freshly baked scones.
