It was the worst of days, it was the best of days! Due to the very heavy rain, we decided to abandon the walk and seek refuge in the hides where we witnessed the arrival of dozens of Swifts as they skimmed low across the water hawking for insects. Despite the poor conditions, a respectable 58 species were seen - including Black Tern, our Star Bird! More...
