Midweek Walk - Norfolk Park

Long-tailed tit perched on branch

Wednesday, 11 January 2017

We battled our way around Norfolk Park in gale force winds, accompanied by a few brave Crows, Magpies, gulls and Wood Pigeons. We really struggled to see any small birds at all but, once into the shelter of the Jervis Lumb ravine, we started to spot Great Tits, Blue Tits, Long-tailed Tits and a Treecreeper.

We also managed to add Jay, Redwing, Mistle Thrush and Nuthatch to our list, even though the vicious gusty wind dominated the walk.
