AGM

As we indicated in "Surviving in lockdown" we plan to hold our group AGM on Zoom and have now fixed a date -Tuesday 3rd November.
Start time will be 7.30 pm but please join us from 7.15 pm onwards as we do need to ensure that things run smoothly on the technical side.
We do intend to follow the formal AGM proceedings with something more light-hearted such as a quiz.
If you are interested in joining us for our AGM and/or our zoom meeting on 15th October (Nick Martin -"Wildlife on the doorstep") please use the "contact us" page to give us your e-mail. We will then be able to contact you to give you joining instructions.

Joining our Group

Often at this time of year folk ask us how do they join the Solihull RSPB Group, and how much does it cost? The answer is good news on all fronts. We don't have a formal membership system and there is no fee to join us. We simply arrange a number of indoor meetings and local walks and anyone can join us, whether or not you belong to the RSPB. Everyone is welcome. We do of course need to fund our events and so we make a charge for our indoor meetings. This is £3.50 for RSPB members and £4 for non-members. For our local walks we just ask folk to make a £1 donation (and there may be entry fees to reserves.) Our annual quiz night does cost more.
Unfortunately as you will see from our last news item "Surviving in lockdown" we are unable to hold indoor meetings until 2021. However, if you would like to join our "Hot News" group we will be able to keep you up to speed on what we are doing. Just use the "Contact Us" and let us know your email.

Surviving in lockdown

Under instructions from RSPB HQ we are unable to hold group indoor meetings until after the end of the year.
At the present time the same applies to outdoor meetings/walks but this might change -we hope.
We are however planning to hold a "Zoom" presentation on Thursday 15th October at 7.30 pm. Our speaker will be Nick Martin. His talk is entitled "Wildlife on the doorstep" and as Nick lives in Knowle this means Solihull and Warwickshire.
We are also hoping to hold our AGM in early November - also on Zoom.

We will be putting details of both events on our "events" page and if you would like to be kept up-to-date on everything our group is doing please e-mail us and we'll put you on our "Hot News" list.
