October events

Following our successful start to our new season, we are looking forward now to our October evening meeting and morning walk. On Thursday 7th October at 7.30pm we welcome Rob Sheldon, who is going to talk to us about "Birds of the Caucusus" This is, perhaps, a part of the world little known to most people, but Rob is clearly an expert. He has worked in nature conservation for almost 20 years, including 12 years with the RSPB and since 2013 has been Chairman of the Ornithological Society of the Middle East. Should be a great night. As usual we meet at the Bentley Heath Community Hall, Widney Road, Solihull, B93 3BQ. To ensure good ventilation we will keep the doors to the hall open -so make sure you wear warm clothes.
Our morning walk is on Tuesday 12th at Kingsbury Water Park. We meet at 10.00am at the Broomey Croft Car Park. You will need £3 in change to enter the car park. The entrance to Broomey Croft is off Bodymoor Heath Road, immediately north of the M42 bridge. Follow the signs to the Childrens' Farm.Do not go into the main entrance to the park.
