OWN TRANSPORT FIELD TRIPS are open to everyone and are perfectly suitable for beginners as well as experienced birders. Make your own way to the trip location OR, if you would like a lift (on a shared cost basis and only for full day duration on optional am/pm trips) meet at Salisbury Coach Park at the end of Millstream Approach off Castle Street. The meeting place is the 30 minute parking area by the Public Toilets. To have a lift, you MUST book in advance via Lucy Bennett (Field Trips Bookings) on 01722 790595.

MINIBUS FIELD TRIPS and other trips marked BOOKING ESSENTIAL are booked via the Booking Form in the Newsletter. All minibus trips are on a shared cost basis payable at the end of the trip. Unless otherwise stated, minibus trips depart at 8.00am from BRITFORD PARK AND RIDE car park on the A338, Downton Road, and at 8.15am from Salisbury Coach Park located at the end of Millstream Approach off Castle Street, returning by 6.15pm. If you have to cancel a booked place, notify Lucy on 01722 790595 as soon as possible, or if on the morning of a minibus trip, notify Steve Oakes on 07851 199601 after 7am.

All field trips are graded: "A" generally level walking: "B" some gradients: "C" steep in places. Approximate distance is given and "WC" indicates that toilet facilities are available at or near the start point of the trip. Waterproof clothing and strong, waterproof footwear are strongly recommended. We hope you will not object to making a small contribution towards RSPB funds. We are suggesting £2 per trip, payable on the day to the trip leader.

INDOOR MEETINGS are held on TUESDAY evenings at the Salisbury Arts Centre, Bedwin Street. The SAC is a fabulous, deconsecrated church building with excellent audio-visual facilities including a huge 6m x 5m screen, and café/bar areas (open during our meetings).
