Salisbury Peregrines: Life for the Salisbury chicks is one long round of feeding

Life for the 4 Salisbury chicks is just one long round of breakfast, 2nd breakfast, elevenses, lunch, early afternoon snack, high tea (225ft/69m high in fact!) and then supper and a bed-time snack.

All 4 get fed with the largest getting massively huge bellies and crops first and backing off a bit so the last 2 get a fair share. The female is tending to try and feed the chicks the legs and feet of prey and that can prove quite tricky. At 16.30 today she shoved a long leg down the smallest chick then thought better of it and pulled it out again! All was well in the end. She flew up onto a very blustery parapet and balanced there while the chicks settled down for a well-earned snooze.

They should be fine with this spell of colder weather as their down is like a duck down duvet and there isn't much rain forecast.
