After a misty start we enjoyed a sunny autumn morning with good visibility over the lakes. The common resident birds were present in abundance but we were unable to find the hoped-for winter specials. The autumn seems to be getting off to a slow start this year, though it was nice to enjoy the warm morning sunshine so late into the season.
