Amwell Reserve

Sunday, 12 October 2014

14 people turned for a warm autumn day at Amwell we started off along the canal where we had a nice selection of birds with jays and woodpeckers seen in the treetops and flocks of long-tailed tits passing through quickly. We then reached the viewpoint where we then saw a selection of winter ducks, gulls lapwings and a well hidden snipe. We then walked round to the hide where we had good views of a little egret in the reeds along with buzzard and kestrel overhead.
