Wilstone Reservoir Walk

Sunday, 13 November 2016

Following bad weather on Sat 12th, this walk was rearranged for Sun 13th. It turned out to be a bright sunny day with a gentle breeze from the north. The reservoir is one of the four Tring Reservoirs owned by the Canals and Waterways Trust, and is managed by HMWT.At this time of year there should be good numbers of wintering wildfowl including shoveler, wigeon and teal, and perhaps a early or late migrant or two.On the Herts bird club website a Ferruginous Duck had been recorded, unfortunately not seen by any of our group today, here are the other birds seen as follows.
