About us

Our friendly and informal group meet on the second Tuesday of each month from September to June. We offer a range of illustrated talks and the occasional video show on a range of bird and wildlife topics. Refreshments are available free at the start of the meeting. We have occasional raffles and booksales, and a well-attended social in December.

Our guided bird watching walks, which take place most months, are free except for parking or entry fees/donations. Our Field Trip Co-ordinator takes us to a wide variety of places over the year, near and far. We take part in the local carnival and have at least one major fund-raising event each year. We've put up bird boxes in the town park and organised a trail for local schools, and are now involved with reedbed maintenance in the River Stort.

So, if you would like to have fun and meet like minded people and help make a difference for birds and wildlife, get in touch - or just turn up at a meeting. We'll be very pleased to see you.
