About us

The group's aim is to actively support the work of the RSPB in the local community and to involve RSPB members and the wider public in conservation, public affairs, education, fundraising and other activities. We offer a programme of birdwatching walks in east Kent. We also have an indoor programme that includes a monthly illustrated talk.

So if you would like to have fun and meet like minded people contact us and help save nature in the south east.

For more information about our activities and events email "theRSPBthanetlocalgroup@talktalk.net" or follow www.facebook.com/RSPBthanetlocalgroup or call the group leader Brian Short on 07721 452294, but not about sick or injured birds; see below.

FOUND A SICK OR INJURED BIRD? The RSPB does not run bird hospitals or a rescue service, however the RSPCA is the national charity that helps and advises on sick and injured birds and animals - see rspca.org.uk, phone 01843 826180 or 0300 1234 999 or helpwildlife.co.uk
