Field Trip to Stodmarsh NNR

Location: Meet at the Stodmarsh NNR car park.
Postcode: CT3 4BA (Google map)

A walk in a freshwater marshland which should look its best at this times of year.

Enjoy the flora and insects, in particular the damselflies and dragonflies - spectacular insects of ancient origins. In recent years the numbers of species recorded has increased, perhaps as a result of global warming. Two such immigrants are the green-eyed hawker and the blue-eyed hawker; now regularly seen.

At any rate, Eurasian hobbies should be around taking advantage of their bounty.
