Field trip - Oare Marshes

Field trip - Oare Marshes
Penny Skoyles

Wednesday, 27 November 2013

An overcast and still day which turned to drizzle as the afternoon wore on. Thirteen people attended including three new attendees. The close views of reed buntings feeding on grass seed heads, large numbers of snipe, turnstone feeding vigorously amongst the seaweed and raptors made for a great day out. A total of 52 bird species were seen. The leader was Carol Goulden.
