The highlight for most was the short-eared owl but for me it was the sight of a raven bringing up a flock of ducks when we were looking at the marsh harrier. Having seen the raven, a crow came into focus and one could appreciate the difference in size. Four of us were ahead of the group and we met a birder who was on a high having seen a peregrine and marsh harrier having a go at each other and he showed us where to look.
