The RSPCA (England and Wales), SSPCA (Scotland) and USPCA (Northern Ireland) are the national charities that help and advise on sick and injured birds and animals. The RSPB does not run bird hospitals or a rescue service.

Local young birder and photographer
Elliot Montieth is a member of the Local Group. He is a young and extremely capable local birder who has recently found a number of high profile rare birds on Wirral. He is also a keen and talented wildlife photographer as evidence by the photographs on his website.
Field Study Centre - Kindrogan
Scotland's only Field Study Council Centre is situated about 15 minutes drive from Pitlochry in Scotland. Visit as a group or just by yourself and experience the welcoming and relaxing atmosphere at Kindrogan. Just walking the grounds you can lose yourself in the beauty and serenity of the Scottish countryside. The wonderful staff will look after you well - good food and a well stocked bar. What more could you ask for ?
Birdwatching on the Dee Estuary and surrounding land
This is an excellent site, run by Richard Smith a well known and highly respected birder, which provides you with all you need to know about bird watching on the Wirral peninsular and the Dee estuary.
Winter birdwatching in Norfolk
An excellent B&B situated in the village of West Runton between Cromer and Sheringham on the Norfolk coast. Kevin and Georgie will give you a lovely welcome. The accommodation is excellent and the full english breakfast superb! More importantly it is situated close to the great birding spots of Cley; Wells, Holkem and Titchwell. Target birds at these sites would be Brent, Bean and White Fronted Geese, Avocet, Bittern, Marsh Harrier, Barn Owl, Snow Bunting and Shore lark. In addition the birdwatching areas around Norwich, such as Hickling, are within an hours drive with its famous Crane and Marsh Harrier roost.

Bill Boyce, a local birder and member of the group, has set up a site to show off his photographs and advertise his illustrated talks. Need someone to give you a talk on local birds or lead a walk - then Bill is your man !
