A Date With Nature - Monthly Saturday morning walk

Location: Meet in the Dinton Pastures main car park in Wokingham.
We have arranged for participants to park for free in the car park of the Wheelwright Arms which is close to the entrance to Dinton pastures but on the opposite side of the road (it would be appreciated if we give our custom to the pub).

A three and a half hour walk around Dinton Pastures and Lavell's Lake, suitable for everyone of all ages and we usually see/hear between 40 and 50 species of birds. Visits to bird hides are included.
Cafe and toilets by the car park.

"Otmoor is a magical nature reserve of wet meadows and reedbeds. It is a haven in winter for thousands of ducks, such as teals and wigeons, and in spring and summer for breeding wading birds, such as lapwings and redshanks. "

Location: Wishmoor Bottom. Meet at Kings Ride entrance to Wishmoor Bottom.
Park in the road. Please be considerate of the residents.

Join us for an evening heathland walk and nightjar watching at dusk. If we are lucky glow worms may be seen
Bring a torch and good boots if it has been raining.
A jumper and insect repellant will be useful, as well.
