Meet the Waders at RSPB Lytchett Fields

Friday 12 October to Monday 10 December

9am - 11am

Price: Free

Join the team at RSPB Lytchett Fields this Autumn and discover this hidden gem on Poole Harbour.

Autumn and early winter are a fantastic time to see both migrant waders and our winter visitors. Lytchett Fields is a unique habitat within Poole Harbour and during the rising tide birds arrive to feed and rest. Every day is different. These events are planned to give us the best chance of enjoying a wide variety of these long distance migrants. Some will be on their way to sub Saharan Africa whilst others will have come from the arctic, may be as far away as Greenland or Siberia. We hope to see Greenshank, Green Sandpiper, Dunlin, Black-tailed Godwit, Redshank, Lapwing, Snipe but the list of possibilities is much longer. Who knows? We look forward to welcoming you and enjoying the birds.
