9am - 11am (Monday 19th of August 10am-12pm)

Price: Free

Join the team at RSPB Lytchett Fields to discover this hidden gem on Poole Harbour.
July and August are fantastic months to see both resident and summer breeding waders. Lytchett Fields is a unique habitat within Poole Harbour and during the rising tide birds arrive to feed and rest. Every day is different. These events are planned to give us the best chance of enjoying a wide variety species.

Some will be on their way to sub Saharan Africa whilst others will have come from the arctic, may be as far away as Greenland or Siberia. Having spent the summer on the reserve, non-breeding black-tailed godwits are joined by early returning godwits from Iceland, many still in their rich, ruddy breeding plumage. Little ringed plovers and green sandpipers are especially prominent in July. Who knows what we might see?
Wellies are advised!
Please note that due to the tide times the July 5th and August 3rd dates are 9am-11am, and August 19th is 10am-12pm.

RSPB Lytchett Fields can be accessed via the SANG carpark at Frenches Farm, just off Policemans Lane, Upton, For further directions follow the link
