October Field Trip - RSPB Stour Estuary, Essex

Price: If you are willing to provide transport or you require a lift please contact Melvyn (see email below) at least seven days beforehand. A charge of up to 10p per mile per car can be made, at the discretion of the driver, to share fuel costs. If no charge is made, a donation to Group Funds could be considered.

Booking essential

On this field trip we hope to see passing migrants on the estuary as well as newly arrived winter wildfowl. We are hoping the trees will be in full autumn colour with wildlife preparing for the winter months ahead. BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL - Members free (however there may charges to enter the reserve please check on booking). Non-members fee applies more information on booking. To book please email: mel_brensmith@hotmail.co.uk by 10th October 2021. Note that field trips are filled quite quickly so you are encouraged to book asap to guarantee a place.

Please note: this event is run by an RSPB volunteer group and is organised for interested members of the local community.

Directions

RSPB Stour Estuary, meet at Manningtree Water Front at 9.30am. (further details on meeting location will be confirmed when you book)

We will start by looking across the river from Manningtree and then moving onto RSPB Stour estuary reserve. There is a long walk through the woods to the hides overlooking the estuary.
