Big Wild Summer activity packs and trails

Saturday 17 July to Sunday 5 September

Drop in between 10 am and 4 pm

Price: Activity bags £3.50, nature trail entry fees apply to non-members (£7 adult, £3.50 child, under 5's free)

Join us at Pulborough Brooks to enjoy a fabulous Big Wild Summer in the beautiful South Downs National Park. Pick up your Big Wild Summer activity bag from our welcome hub (£3.50 each) and follow our self-guided trail to discover some of the amazing wildlife that calls Pulborough Brooks home.

Head out onto our wetland trail and follow Bertie Bee as he buzzes down the trail discovering the wonderful world of plants and their pollinators and spot some of our special seasonal wildlife. (Entry fees apply to our wetland trail; non-members £7 adult, £3.50 children, under 5's go free).

Or, follow our Heathland Superheroes trail to meet some of the incredible bugs and beasties that live on our heath, before creating your own superhero.

As you explore your choice of trail, keep an eye open for natural treasures - perhaps a pine cone, an acorn or a feather - to collect in your bag and create your own journey stick.

Both activity bags are filled with more fun family activities to complete at the reserve and at home to extend your Big Wild Summer of nature-filled fun.  Your pack includes a discount voucher for purchases from the amazing range of products in our RSPB shop.

Activity bags available daily from 10 am til 4 pm from our Welcome Hub from Saturday 26 June - Sunday 5 September.

Information on access around the trails

Please wear suitable outdoor clothing and footwear for your adventure. If you have binoculars then do bring them along, but we do offer a binocular hire service.

The wetland trail includes access to our play area, hides and bird feeding station. The paths are suitable for pushchairs and our tramper mobility buggy (which must be booked in advance). Dogs, other than assistance dogs, are not permitted on this trail.

The heathland paths are sandy, uneven and steep in places so this trail is less suitable for pushchairs and unsuitable for our tramper mobility buggy. Dogs, under close control, are allowed on the heathland trail.
