Visit Hazeley Heath at dusk to hear and see the mysterious nightjar. This nocturnal summer visitor inspired a host of peculiar stories and strange country names like "fern owl" or "goatsucker", or the eerie "corpse-fowl".

In reality, these birds are pretty odd as well! Come and find out more about them on this two hour guided walk. We will offer you a hot drink and light refreshments to help you home afterwards.

People thinking of attending should wear stout footwear and be prepared for wet, uneven  ground and dress appropriately for the weather. Biting insects may be present.
Children Under the age of  16 need to be accompanied by an adult. The ground is unsuitable for wheelchairs or mobility scooters. Please note there are no facilities at Hazeley Heath. No dogs please.
