Join us for an evening walk on the heath listening for bats with special detectors that translate bats' echolocation calls into a range within human hearing.

At this time of year, bats will start to be actively feeding on a warm summer's evening (hopefully!) in preparation for their winter hibernation. We will offer you a hot drink and light refreshment to sustain you on the walk.

People thinking of attending should wear stout footwear and be prepared for wet, uneven  ground. Please dress appropriately for the weather.  Biting insects may be present. Children Under the age of  16 need to be accompanied by an adult. The Reserve does not have facilities and the ground is not suitable for mobility scooters or wheelchairs. No dogs please. A torch may be useful.
