Heathland open day - A 'Back from the Brink' event - Cancelled

Sunday 24 May

11 am - 4 pm

Price: Free

Join us out on the heathland for our open day celebrating the fantastic wildlife that lives on the heath. We'll be allowing exclusive access to the central section of our heath and our team will be on hand to showcase some fascinating creatures. We'll be looking at dragonflies and damselflies patrolling the ponds, and using our special sound dish to listen out for one of the rarest insects - the field cricket - which has been reintroduced to the site as part of the national 'Back from the Brink' project. We'll also be using nets to hunt for some of our other heathland superheroes - fast tiger beetles, spider-hunting wasps and more.

There's no need to book - just come along between 11 am and 4 pm.

This event takes place on our heathland and will go 'off trail' and is unsuitable for our tramper vehicle.
