Lough Erne Curlew Cruise

Saturday 19 May

10am to 12 noon

Price: £20 / £16 for RSPB members

Booking essential

Join us aboard the Lady of the Lake double-deck cruiser for a guided boat tour of the stunning Lough Erne for our Curlew Cruise (as part of Curlew Crisis Month).

The RSPB Lower Lough Erne Islands reserve warden will be your guide as you set out to spot one of our most cherished birds. Our reserve in Fermanagh is one of the last strongholds and one of the most important breeding sites for this iconic and rapidly declining bird.

As you make your way through the lough’s amazing maze of islands, you could also spot lapwings, oystercatchers, common sandpipers, terns, a range of gulls and breeding wildfowl – not to mention some Highland cows!

Hear all about the year-round work that goes on across the RSPB-managed islands on Lough Erne for the benefit of breeding waders.

And if you’re lucky there’s also the possibility of sighting skylarks, a kingfisher, a peregrine falcon or even an Irish hare.

Meet at Inishclare Jetty (close to the Manor House Country Hotel), Killadeas, Co Fermanagh, BT94 1NY at 9.30am for 10am sailing

NOTE – Sailing will proceed unless there are severe weather conditions. If cancelled due to weather we will offer refunds.

The route of the sailing on the day will be weather-dependent. Price £20 / £16 for RSPB members Booking essential via curlewcruise.eventbrite.co.uk
