In celebration of National Insect Week you can join us on a safari on our lovely heathland.  We’ll introduce you to some of the specialist wildlife that lives here and explain how we’re managing the heathland to give them a home. This event is part of the national ‘Back from the Brink’ project which is one of the most ambitious conservation projects ever undertaken. Its aim – to save 20 species from extinction and benefit over 200 more through 19 projects that span England.  As part of this project, here on the heath, we’ll be re-introducing field crickets so we’ll hope to see or hear them alongside dragonflies, tiger beetles and some fascinating solitary wasps and bees.

Time: 10.30 am – 12.30 pm Booking essential - please call us on 01798 875851 to book your place.

Cost: Free. (This event is designed for adults)
