Butterflies of RSPB Loch Lomond, Scotland

Saturday 15 June

11am - 2pm

Price: £8, (MEMBERS £6.50)

Booking essential

Butterflies are a beautiful and important part of the natural world and sunny days in June are when RSPB Scotland Loch Lomond comes alive with them. They are sensitive indicators of the health of the environment and play crucial roles in the food chain as well as being pollinators of plants.  This workshop will help you identify some of the common butterfly species found at RSPB Loch Lomond, as well as going in search of the more unusual species like the small pearl-bordered fritillary. We’ll be walking over muddy, uneven ground so wellies are essential to take part. Please bring a packed lunch with you to have out on the reserve. Booking necessary.
