RSPB

Saltmarsh Celebration Day

Saturday 18 May

10am - 4pm

Price: Free

Join the RSPB and meet our partners to celebrate the completion of this fantastic restoration project at Hesketh Out Marsh, and discover all things saltmarsh.

Saltmarsh is one of our most important natural habitats in the UK, home to a rich variety of wonderful wildlife and it has huge benefits to us humans too by reducing flood risk and capturing carbon to help combat climate change.

To mark the incredible transformation of the land at Hesketh Out Marsh, back to the saltmarsh it once was, you can take part in guided walks, saltmarsh safaris, mud dipping and more to see behind the scenes and get up close and personal with the wildlife that thrives in this amazing space.

We will have craft activities and more for families, and refreshment stalls on site selling food and drink.

Please wear suitable outdoor clothing and footwear (walking boots) as this is an exposed site and bring binoculars if you have them.

No booking necessary, just turn up and join in!
