Learn to identify some of the butterfly species that we have in the Blean, as well as an introduction to butterfly surveying.

About this event

Join a guided walk through RSPB Blean Woods as we look out for different butterfly species, including the nationally rare Heath Fritillary. You will learn about which plants provide food for which species, as well as an introduction into how we survey butterfly populations for conservation.

We will also have opportunities to pick out any other notable flora and fauna along the way.

For those with no previous knowledge or experience but a desire to learn more about the natural world.

Guided walk 1st August : 12pm – 1.30pm (Slot 1) + 2pm – 3.30pm (Slot 2)
