Baddesley Clinton Church, in the springtime sun

  • On a particularly rare sunny day on my drive home from routine hospital clinics, I took a detour to capture Baddesley Clinton Church, along with the daffs that lead up to the tower on the west side.

  • You're local to me. There are a couple of nice walking loops round there taking in Wroxall Abbey grounds and the attractive houses on the other side of the Warwick Road. One brave day we walked from Knowle to The Case is Altered and found a few new paths around the area.

  • It looks a lovely place Mike

  • That area is so picturesque Mike, lovely photos and doesn't it make a difference to see the sunshine and blue sky for a change !  not sure this weather is going to last looking at the forecast.

I have to drive past Wroxall Abbey on a few occasions traveling to/from Baddesley, and also to Fen End, where we have a testing ground at the former RAF Honiley, and more recently Prodrive, which is now owned by Jaguar Land Rover.

Baddesley Clinton is a moated medieval house and grounds are superb, and the church, formerly Catholic and now Church of England, which has an interesting history.

The church is lovely inside, and out. Here's a couple of inside the church photos: 201701020120 & https://www.flickr.com/photos/peak-rambler/32374104055/in/album-72157677557214831/

Sadly I fear the weather is set to resume it's normal dull grey cloud and showers....

But Baddesley is a lovely area to walk around, the house and grounds, along with the surrounding countryside.

One day hopefully I'll be able to walk around there rather than hobble...
