Visit the brand-new exhibition – Birds: Brilliant and Bizarre at the Natural History Museum
This exhibition explores the incredible story of birds – from surviving the mass extinction event that wiped out the dinosaurs, to how they diversified into an incredible 11,000 distinct species: including familiar Robins, Starlings, and Blue Tits.
It also showcases the RSPB’s Big Garden Birdwatch, and how trends have changed over its 45-year history. It also uncovers secrets of bird life you may not have encountered. Did you know that Zebra Finches, found in Australia, sing to their unborn young, or Vampire Finches, from the Galapagos, like to feed on blood? All that, and more, can be found at Birds: Brilliant and Bizarre.
