RSPB Norwich Local Group - guided walks

Members will be aware that indoor meetings and other local group activities were suspended in March last year because of coronavirus, which of course has been applied nationally by the RSPB.

Happily, now we are able to run local field events and we are running a monthly guided walk, led or co-led by RSPB local group committee member Chris Durdin. For those who don't know Chris, he is a former staff member of the RSPB, he leads monthly guided walks for Norfolk Wildlife Trust at his local patch of Thorpe Marshes and his business is running wildlife holidays, normally overseas, though more recently also breaks and guided walks in Norfolk.

It makes sense practically and for reasons of cost to promote these walks through emails, which will come from Ella Hopper. If you receive an email and would prefer not to have more, please reply, to Ella, so we know. If you would like to be added to the circulation list, get in touch via Contact Us on these web pages, or tell Chris and he'll get you added to the list that Ella maintains.

When we first put this note online, groups outside ran under 'rule of six'. Though that no longer applies, we are still taking bookings so we know the size of the group. Book with Chris Durdin on chris@honeyguide.co.uk or phone 01603 300552, or as advised in our emailed circular. There is no charge for the walks, though we can accept donations.

These walks cover all types of wildlife. Please bring your own binoculars. If you need to borrow binoculars, please ask Chris so a pair can be sanitised. Covid protocols discourage the sharing of telescopes.

Look out for reports about our walks on these web pages.
