Report of the AGM -- Wednesday 8th June 2016

Report on the AGM - 08/06/16
1. It was reported that the Group Leader is looking to move out of London. This will mean that we need a new Group Leader! Under RSPB rules we can run for 1 year without an officially designated Leader, and, as next year's programme is all set up, we should be alright until September 2017.
We need new committee members anyway, as there are posts unfilled, and the Newsletter editor has been doing this for an unbelievable 19 years.

It was pointed out that the first date on the programme was mis-typed, it should read 14th September.
We need to make a substantial donation to the RSPB as our current account has too much money in it! The only drawback to this is that it will skew the yearly accounts, making it seem that we have run at a massive loss, which we won't have.

The current Committee was re-elected unopposed.

2. The finance officer presented the accounts. These were accepted. Thanks were due to Jim Irvine who is our Auditor, as he stepped in to fill the post after Richard Draper moved to Banstead. We extend our thanks to Richaerd for his efforts over the previous years.

3. The Membership Secretary has reported that our current membership is 7 Life members, 1 Corporate member, 6 RSPB members, 126 paid up members and 26 unpaid so far.

4. Keston Countryside day is on 26th June this year. We will have a stall and volunteers are welcome.
