This year has been a good breeding year for some of the rarer birds in Angus with a record number of Little Ringed Plovers hatching and the continued success of the wonderful Nightjar. Sea Eagles have again bred in North East Fife and another pair might have started breeding in Perthshire. Over the winter a Bittern stayed at Kinnordy RSPB Reserve for several months and 2 Common Cranes remained nearby for several weeks. These are exciting new developments and we look forward to many more in the years to come. Breeding Reed Warblers and the possibilty of Bearded Tits breeding again are twohoped for future events.
