Harpenden Lea Valley Walk

Location: Meet on the bridge over the River Lea near the 'Marquis of Granby' at the junction of Crabtree Lane and Marquis Lane.

Guided walk along the River Lea identifying local birds, led by John Taylor.

Time: 8 am to 10.15 am

A day trip to RSPB Lakenheath reserve and Weeting Heath Norfolk Wildlife Trust Reserve

Location: Meet at Weeting Heath Norfolk Wildlife Trust Reserve at 10.30am.

A full day birdwatching trip led by John Taylor. Toilets available.
We start at Weeting Heath - fee payable to Norfolk Wildlife Trust - where we hope to see breeding Stone Curlew and have also had good views of Spotted Flycather in recent years.
We transfer to RSPB Lakenheath for a picnic lunch followed by a walk around the reserve. As well as Marsh Harriers and several warbler species we hope to see Bearded Tits, Bittern and maybe even Common Crane.

Time: 10.30 am

Price: Entrance fee at Weeting. Contribution to petrol costs if car sharing. An optional £1 donation for the RSPB.
