We set off from Springwood car park at 8.30 in the morning the weather was beautiful and by the time we reached our first stop, Reeds Island it was pleasantly warm. As we looked over the Humber we could see a large number of Shelduck and at a distance three Avocet could be seen along with Oystercatcher, and good views of two Buzzard. The Group then moved on to Far ings, were the highlight had to be a baby Owl sat on the low branch of a tree, many photos were taken. There were also good views of Marsh Harrier. Large numbers of Warblers were Heard singing and seen, Including Reed Warbler, Sedge Warbler, Cettis Warbler, Willow Warbler, Chiffchaff, Whitethroat, Lesser Whitethroat and Blackcap. Also seen was Hobby, Red Kite, Common Tern, Great Spotted Woodpecker and Bull finch Leaving Far ings at 3.30 we visited Waters Edge were we viewed a Goldeneye and a similar selection of Warblers. Butterflies seen today Included, Peacock, Common Blue, Brimstone and Orange
